Geri löper! | Geri is in heat!

🇸🇪 För första gången någonsin har alla mina tikar löpt samtidigt! Normalt sett brukar Geri löpa en gång om året och då ett par månader efter de andra två. Kanske har saker och ting ändrats nu när Bubble är med i bilden. I måndags upptäckte jag blod på golvet där Geri låg och kunde konstatera att det inte var från någon av de andra tre. Eftersom jag har två stycken som äter bindor har jag fått ge upp att ha tikskydd på alla. Panik uppstod och i mitt stressade tillstånd blev jag orolig att jag skulle ha missat när hon började, hon hade ju faktiskt betett sig underligt (typ deprimerad) och kissat ofta ett tag. Eftersom hon löpt så sällan har jag inte riktigt lika bra koll på hennes beteende innan som jag har på Rosies och Pennys. Tanken slog mig att jag borde ta ett progesteronprov för att se så att det inte var för sent att para. När jag väl bestämt mig ringde jag kliniken och fick veta att den enda tid de hade på flera veckor (!) var knappt två timmar senare. Så det blev till att kasta sig i bilen hem från jobbet, hämta hund och åka in till Linköping. Drygt 1.000 kr fattigare fick jag veta att värdet låg på 0,2 och att hon antingen hade precis börjat eller slutat. Fick även veta att det visst fanns tider, för vi blev inbokade för ny provtagning på fredag. Nu har jag haft tikskydd på henne i alla fall under tiden jag är hemma och kan konstatera det går åt rätt håll. Så nu ska tiden avbokas, inte lust att betala lika mycket igen när jag kan räkna ut när det är dags själv. Det blir sannolikt dejt med Troy runt 12 juli. 

🇬🇧 For the first time ever, all my bitches have come into season at the same time! Geri normally comes into season once a year and a couple of months after the other two. Perhaps all of this has changed now that Bubble is in the picture too. This Monday I discovered blood on the floor where Geri was lying and could conclude that it didn’t come from any of the other three. Since two of them eat panty pads I have been forced to give up using these whenever someone is in heat. I panicked and in this agitated state I got worried that I had missed the whole thing; come to think of it: she had behaved oddly (as if depressed) and weed frequently lately. Since she hasn’t been in season that many times, I still don’t quite recognise her pre-heat behaviour as I do the others. The thought struck me that I should have a progesterone test taken to at least confirm that the day of mating hadn’t passed. Having made up my mind, I called the clinic only to find out that the only appointment available for weeks was in two hours! Being at work, I threw myself in my car, drove home, picked up the dog and drove to Linköping. After being set back roughly SEK 1,000 I was told that the value was 0.2 and that it had either just started or was about to end. I was also told there were indeed more appointments as we were booked in for a second test on Friday. These last couple of days she’s been wearing protection lined with a panty pad when I’m at home and able to supervise. I can now safely say things are moving in the right direction and there will most likely be a date with Troy around 12 July. Oh, and I’m cancelling our appointment tomorrow.
